One of the top reasons for going to Sydney is the excellent beaches that are only a short walk, bus or cab ride from the city centre. Try going to Bronte for breakfast and then doing the cliff-walk to Bondi via Tamarama Beach. It depends how fast you walk but you should be able to make it to Bondi for lunch before heading back to Bronte (you can take a bus back) Bondi is more than just the beach, there are many excellent cafes, seafood restaurants and bars & clubs on the seafront and all the way back to Bondi Junction.
